Here are the upcoming cars in October 2026 in India, in launch order. The festive season is when carmakers like to launch, and this year’s calendar is busy: the Honda Elevate facelift (6 October), the Hyundai Bayon (mid-October), the Toyota Glanza facelift (14 October) and the JSW Jetour T2 plug-in hybrid (late October). 2. Hyundai Bayon (mid-October)

A roughly 4.2-metre crossover slotting between the Venue and the Creta. Expect a 1.5 petrol with a CNG option, Level 2 ADAS, six airbags and twin 10.25-inch screens. Bookings are open for ₹11,000.

3. Toyota Glanza facelift (14 October)

Toyota’s twin of the new Baleno. It gets the Z12E three-cylinder engine, better mileage, Level 2 ADAS, ventilated seats and a sportier front end. Manual, AMT and CNG versions are expected.

4. Volkswagen Virtus facelift (October)

Volkswagen’s midsize sedan gets a mid-life update after the Skoda Slavia’s refresh. Expect styling tweaks, new features and the same 1.0 and 1.5 TSI turbo-petrol engines. The Virtus has been popular with buyers who want a sedan with strong performance and a solid feel.

5. JSW Jetour T2 (late October)

JSW Motors’ first SUV, a boxy plug-in hybrid with a claimed 139 km of electric range and around 1,200 km combined. Expected prices vary widely.

Volvo’s flagship electric seven-seat SUV is expected on 12 October at around ₹1.2 crore. It is a niche product, but it shows how quickly luxury buyers are moving to EVs, especially in states that waive EV road tax.

What arrived just before October

2. Breakdown: ₹30,000 cash, ₹25,000 exchange bonus, ₹10,000 corporate discount, ₹20,000 free accessories.

Watch for three details on launch day:

1. Which variants are priced. Sometimes only a few variants are announced at launch, with the rest following later.
2. Whether the price is ex-showroom Delhi or all-India. Prices can differ between states even before road tax.
3. Validity. Note the date until which the introductory price applies, and ask the dealer whether the price is locked at booking or at delivery.
